Buddha Wood is steam distilled from the timber of the native Eremophila Mitchellii tree that’s predominantly found in South Australia’s Flinder’s Ranges, but also in drier parts of Northern Queensland and New South Wales. The reddish-brown oil has an earthy, masculine aroma and is often used in men’s fragrances. In aromatherapy, it is commonly used to assist with grounding and to promote clarity.

In the past, Buddha Wood was used by Indigenous Australian people for its medicinal and therapeutic properties. Traditionally, it has been utilised to treat cuts and sores, thanks to its purported antibacterial and anti-inflammatory benefits. It’s also believed that Buddha Wood can help relieve tension and enhance one’s mood.
